Timelapse of Building / Demolition of Star Theatre, New York, 1901

‘Time lapse demolition of the Star Theatre on the northeast corner of Broadway and 13th Street, New York. Judging from the number of exposures, the work must have gone on for a period of approximately thirty days. The theater was opened in 1861. Ellen Terry and Henry Irving both made their first stage appearances in America at the Star.
