Taco Bell, Kansas City, 1980s
Thank you to Darrell James
We had a “Del Taco” near us, that looked similar.
Notice the large plastic bell on the top of the restaurant? Some guys I know once tied a rope to one of those bells and pulled it down, and gave it to some other guys for safekeeping. I wonder where it is today.
We still have a couple of those in the vicinity, except they’ve been transformed into other restaurants.
So in other words, exactly like Taco Bell today except for a wooden salad bar.
