Mark Twain, 1909, in colour and on film

This film of Mark Twain was made by Thomas Edison in 1909, at Mark Twain’s estate. It is the only known film of Twain.

Mark Twain was also photographed in colour by Alvin Langdon Coburn using the newly created Autochrome system.

    How spooky and lovely. Do we know when in 1909 it was made? Jean died on Christmas Eve that same year. I wonder if Twain watched the film later, or couldn’t bear to.
