Following on from Tweety Pie’s Skeleton, here are some physical skeletons of cartoon characters which can be seen as contemporary Memento Mori.
The serise is “Animatus” by Hyungkoo Lee. Lee began with the “intention to analyze anatomical structures and physical forms of animation characters, within the hypothesis to visualize their possible anatomical foundation.” The skeletons are built from a mix of animal bones and synthetics.
