“The Kings Theatre, formerly Loew’s Kings Theatre, is a movie palace-type theater located at 1025 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, New York City. Opened in 1929, closed since 1977.”
What a fantastic venue, and such lush photography. I hope it can one day be restored and put back into service as a cinema or theatre, so people can enjoy this slice of history.
Unbelievable - how can they leave such a space unused in such a crowded city with expensive rents? It would make a great theater (for real actors) or music stage.
If the property was properly and painstakingly restored to its original dazzling splendor by artisans and crasftsman dedicated to preserving its history and character, it would make for a marvelous intimate showcase venue for live music, theatre, art, and film.
Wow! I love it! Would love to renovate a place like that.

What? That’s crazy. The things that could be done with that place! What a waste
Loew’s Kings is currently undergoing restoration and is scheduled to re-open in 2024.
Not sure, but wasn’t one of last season’s episodes of FRINGE shot here?
Looks like the perfect place to screen a silent movie or an early talkie… if properly restored, that is.
Simply Magnificent!

Sigh. for the want of venture capitol.
