This is the latest image from Adam Leach’s Looking into the Past series. Over to Adam:
“I’m unsure of the date of the original photograph but I guess its nearing 100 years ago. It took me a while to find the location for the shot. However, following some Time Team style investigation work I found out that Kodak had offices at 43 Clekenwell Road, London, EC1. It then took me a while to find the exact spot, as the Kodak building has since been demolished and the building in its place is 61 not 43 Clekenwell Road.
Fortunately the adjacent building is still there (now a restaurant, Anexo, formally Turnmills night club) and that allowed me to stitch past and present together.”
…..
Thank you to Adam Leach
I ride past this building every morning and evening on my commute… it’s amazing to be able to see into the past like this!
