  • When Helen Gurley Brown, author of that seminal tome “Sex and the Single Girl”, became editor of Cosmo in the 1960′s she made it what it is now. Nuff said…

    You know, when you take into account the different standards, different levels of censorship, etc., the very first cover is not all that different from today’s Cosmo. It’s all laid out there – “artist’s models” – you know what that means. “Physical training” at universities – chikka chikka boww oww. “Convicts and bush rangers in Australia” – sex on the hoof.

    The more things change, the more they stay the same…
