The bazaar is the same as in these pictures and the Egyptian Museum is amazing. Sadly, there was trash everywhere, literally everywhere. Almost none of the newer construction is completed (rebar sticking out everywhere)in order to avoid taxes. However, I would love to go back.I was there this time 4 years ago and stayed in Giza. Egypt stays the same in styling for ages it seems, which is both good and bad...Well if it were not headlined 1920′s Egypt I would not know if they were old or not VS. when you look at old pictures in American History you can usually guess the date because styles are ever changing, also I think it has a lot to do with technology/money. The River Nile in Aswan and Abu Simble temple pictures are majestic too.... amazing!I’m Egyptian and it is quite striking how the places captured in the pictures especially the old Cairo ones at the beginning look very similar today. As many of you note, several of you note how many scenes taken then remain the same! And less garbage!
Would love to use some of these as reference for my paintings of EgyptBeautiful photos and many capture the scenes I saw and took pictures of six months ago when we were in Egypt inDecember. As many of you note, several of you note how many scenes taken then remain the same! And less garbage!
